Transportation Options To/From Denver International Airport (DEN)
Several ground transportation options are available at Denver International Airport’s Jeppesen Terminal. The terminal is dual-sided (East and West) with the same transportation services on both sides. Walk outside from Baggage Claim (Level 5) to find five parallel traffic islands—each designated for a specific ground transportation service—from limousines to shuttles to buses. Additional information about ground transportation providers can be found at www.flydenver.com. Most hotels near Denver International Airport, and some hotels farther from the airport, offer courtesy shuttles. When you make a reservation, please ask the hotel whether it provides a shuttle, and if it does, pick it up at Island 3, outside Baggage Claim—both the east and west sides of Jeppesen Terminal.
Rental Cars
Arriving passengers should look for car rental counters on the baggage-claim level of Jeppesen Terminal (Level 5) in the center atrium. Each rental company provides a courtesy van or bus that shuttles between the terminal and the rental company’s operational location. Most companies at DEN are located within a five-minute ride of the terminal. Rental car courtesy shuttles pick up passengers at Island 4, outside of Baggage Claim—both the east and west sides of Jeppesen Terminal. Look for overhead signs that indicate each company’s pick-up location.
Taxis
Taxis are available at Jeppesen Terminal, on both of its east and west sides, right outside of Baggage Claim on Island 1. Taxis transport passengers within the eight counties that make up the Denver Metro area. Some companies may also provide service to other destinations within Colorado. Check with a taxi company or with a driver at the airport for destinations served and fares. Taxis are regulated and charge flat fares for three zones within the Denver Metro area.
| Zone A (Downtown) |
$84* |
| Zone B (Tech Center) |
$57* |
| Zone C (Boulder) |
$84* |
*Taxicabs will add a $3.75 airport access fee to the fare for trips from the airport. Meters determine fares for locations outside zone boundaries.
Public Transportation
The Regional Transportation District (RTD) provides scheduled public bus service (called skyRide) between the airport and downtown Denver, as well as other points within the local metro area. Please contact RTD directly for information on specific routes, schedules, and fares: (303) 299-6000; rtd-denver.com. RTD’s skyRide express buses depart from Island 5 outside Baggage Claim. Use terminal doors 507 to 511 Terminal East and 505 doors 506 to 510 Terminal West.
Limousines
Limousines offer pre-arranged services to destinations within the Denver metro area and within the state of Colorado. Please contact a limo company directly or talk to a driver upon arrival for more information about fares and destinations served. Limousines can be found on Island 1 outside Baggage Claim—both the east and west sides of Jeppesen Terminal.
Commuter Shuttles
Commuter shuttle service, also known as shared-ride or door-to-door service, operate regularly to and from DEN. Individual operators may provide pre-scheduled, on-demand, or charter services for locations within the Denver Metro area and other locations within Colorado. Some providers may also offer service to locations outside the state. Directly contact a shuttle provider for more information on fees and destinations served. Commuter shuttles operate from Island 3 on Level 5 of Jeppesen Terminal—both east and west.
Visit Denver has negotiated special discounts for our attendees with SuperShuttle. You may make reservations in advance by visiting the SuperShuttle website at www.supershuttle.com and using the discount code: RRX5N – approximately $19+ tip per person, each way.
Mountain Carriers
Mountain carriers transport visitors to and from many Colorado towns and resorts on the Western Slope, especially ski resorts, providing pre-scheduled, charter, and some on-demand shuttle service. Please contact a service provider directly for more information on pricing and available destinations. Mountain carriers pick-up passengers on Island 2, outside Baggage Claim at DEN, on both the east and west sides of Terminal Level 5.
