APWA is proud to launch a new Winter Maintenance Supervisor Certificate Program at this year’s conference. The certificate program is a one-day workshop comprised of multiple sessions.
There is no additional cost, but you must have a Full Registration or Sunday One-Day Registration and pre-register to participate. Register for the conference with either a Full Registration or a One-Day Sunday Registration, and then check the box to indicate that you would also like to register for the Winter Maintenance Supervisor Certificate Program.

- Operators that aspire to be supervisors
- Operators wanting a greater understanding of the intricacies of winter maintenance
The workshop will consist of sessions on:
- Policy and Planning
- Snow & Ice Control Materials
- Snow Control
- Ice Control
- Weather Basics
- Equipment
… all with a focus on sustainability and lessening the impact of winter maintenance practices to the environment.
The workshop will include testing so participants can assess their retention of the material and provide their agency with peace of mind that they have a solid grasp on winter maintenance practices.
